10 things that make FyneFest one of Scotland’s best small festivals!

FyneFest

Great beer, great food and great music, all amid stunning Highland scenery: FyneFest has all the ingredients for a fantastic festival.

It’s a cracking festival, with lots of beers on offer, food from local producers and a line up of live music that’s guaranteed to get you dancing. What’s more, it’s kid and dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole family. Here are ten reasons why FyneFest is one of Scotland’s best small festivals.

  1. Beer is the star of the show at FyneFest, with lots of choice from and cask and keg offerings from the best breweries in the UK and Europe.
  2. The Brewery Tap Room and Courtyard Bar provide a wee change of scene from the festival fields.
  3. Beer geeks will need to find the Origins Brewing Bar, a secret bar stocked with the funkiest farmhouse ales from Fyne Ales Origins Brewing and friends. This exclusive pop-up bar will have a limited capacity, so if you love progressive, experimental and sour beers, be sure to seek it out early in the weekend.
  4. Festival goers can make the most of the beautiful scenery. Grab a quick, refreshing half of beer to keep you going for the rest of the journey.
  5. It’s not all about the drinking of the beer at FyneFest. There’s plenty of beer-geekery to be enjoyed as well. Take part in the Brewers’ Panels, where representatives from some of the UK’s leading breweries come together to talk beer and take questions. You can also take tours of Fyne Ales’ state-of-the-art brewery throughout the weekend, guided by the expert team.
  6. If you want to flex your mental muscles, then sign up for the Pub Quiz in the Brewery Tap Courtyard. Get a pint, a team of four and join in with the afternoon of trivia. And if you win you’ll get a stack of tokens to spend on beer.
  7. FyneFest brings together the very best local and Scottish bands, and the line-up is unashamedly designed to get you dancing! You’ll find music across the festival site, including more chilled-out acoustic performers at the Tap Room Stage.
  8. Food is high on the agenda at FyneFest and the organisers make a big effort to provide a range of tasty, local treats such as Loch Fyne Oysters who will be providing oysters, smoked salmon and paella.
  9. There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained at FyneFest, The Wee Tent is packed with things to do, from story telling to face painting. Expect kids’ entertainers, a mini sports day, movie nights and more.
  10. And best of all, FyneFest must have one of the most stunning festival locations in Scotland. Held in the fields surrounding the brewery in Glen Fyne, this beautiful spot is surrounded by hills. You can enjoy the breath-taking views from the festival site, go for a walk up the glen or take some time out from the festival to explore the local area.

FyneFest takes place early June and can sell out quickly, so we recommend you visit FyneFest soon.
