Whitehouse Studio Art Holidays

Whitehouse Studio Art Holidays

Five day residential art courses usually hosted by wallpaper designer Karen Beauchamp at her Scottish Arts and Crafts Studio. Karen will teach on a one to one basis at her own studio which is large and can accommodate socially distanced teaching.

Whether you have some experience with art or not, a new artistic adventure can contribute fresh ways of looking at the world around you, resulting in an extra dimension to your life.

Our enthusiastic professional tutor will share her knowledge and experience with you, on a one to one basis. Encouraging you to open your eyes to shape, colour, tone, composition and atmosphere. Explore different techniques and play with colour. Improve your skills working ‘en plein’ air with picnic lunches provided on location.

Karen’s studio is situated on the west coast of Scotland with dramatic views over West Loch Tarbert - Glenreasdale House is a large light, airy and house with character, originally built in 1907 as a hunting lodge by Peter J. Mackie founder of White Horse Whisky. - ” It is an interesting house with so much to look at “With a “living kitchen “ “ inspiring views” offering “utter peace” “ the house feels loved “ great atmosphere” “this is what a Scottish home should be “ I would not be disappointed to arrive here”

We have planned a varied tutorial programme of short journeys to inspiring locations, all specially chosen, never far from the sea.
