Carradale Golf Club
Carradale Golf Club
Carradale Golf Club, founded in 1906, is a golfing gem. It's located on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula with panoramic views across the Kilbrannan Sound towards the Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and Ayrshire.
This 9-hole heathland/moorland course is popular with local and visiting players and has been described as the ‘most sporting nine-hole course in Scotland’. Tom Doak, Golf Course Architect (July 2016) described Carradale as follows:
“The sweet spot where high handicappers are not overwhelmed, but good players are punished if they try to overpower the course and miss wide. Carradale nine hole links is studded with outcroppings of rock, which threaten a wild bounce on many holes, most memorably at the difficult par-3 7th. No less than seven of the nine holes are between 200 and 300 yards in length.“
Carradale is a very friendly club for all the family and warmly welcomes visitors.
