Munro’s is situated on the Isle of Bute, just 1.5 hrs from Glasgow by car and ferry (32 miles if you’re a crow!). The island is the perfect getaway location for relaxation, walks on beaches, cycling on quiet roads or visits to historic locations. The wonderful Mount Stuart house, where Stella McCartney was married, is well worth a visit.
If you enjoy golf there are are 3 courses on the island and fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout is available for enthusiasts.
The house is a perfect location for a family or group of friends to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Comfortably furnished and with original features, there is plenty of space for socialising and private areas for relaxing! We also have a cosy cinema room with loads of DVDs that you can watch.
Enjoy the well equipped kitchen which is a lovely space for socialising with a log burner in the centre and a 12 seater table at one end.
There are 8 bedrooms with 7 en suite bathrooms. Our largest bedroom has a double sofabed and works well as a family room. Our smallest bedroom has bunk beds and would be perfect for kids and teenagers. We also have a travel cot. Outside, there is plenty of parking (for 6-8 cars) and a large decked area to sit and take in the view. The 1 acre sloping garden is great for hide and seek and we have a lily pond.
