Collaborait - Where Wild About Argyll Come Together

Wild About Argyll invites members to Collaborait, and here's the place to do it.

Collaborait is an exciting leadership initiative which has secured funding from the Scottish Government's Tourism Leadership Recovery Fund 2021 -22. The project aims to tackle

  • future leadership & succession
  • quality product development and implementation
  • staff retention and development

The project has three main areas of activity for local businesses and individuals to engage with for their own business benefit and to help grow and improve Argyll's tourism offer in light of the impacts from the Covid19 pandemic.

Collaborait covers the entire Argyll and the Isles area and is being spearheaded by Cathy Craig, Daniel MacIntyre and Carron Tobin within AITC who each undertook the Destinationa Leadership Programme delivered by Napier University - a pre-requisite for securing the funding.

The collaboration will deliver three linked innovations - two new food and drink products, entrepreneurial workshops for local businesses and a new online future leaders forum.

It was kickstarted with The View and AITC co-hosting a product development workshop with a view to establishing a 'future leaders’ forum to better understand and directly tackle issues relating to succession. And with the immediate aim within this funding timeframe to package and deliver two  product/service innovations with them, and in so doing highlighting the benefits of packaging online bookable experiences that promote high standards of customer service and intimate ‘club’ style product offerings.

COLLABORAIT EXPERIENCES

The House Collection by Wild About Argyll presents The Drinks Cabinet and The Pantry as two initial experiences.

‘The Drinks Cabinet’ - virtual tastings & white label an on-premises ‘Blending Experience’ with Beinn an Tuirc Distillers. This can then be extended to other categories of Argyll & Isles drinks sector -namely brewers, whisky, rum and wine.

‘The Pantry’-pop-up food pairing/foraging experiences with Taste of Argyll and then extended to other operators, suppliers or sector partners.
